The successful candidate will possess:

  • Appropriate Principal licensure issued by the Ohio Department of Education/OTES credential
  • Prior supervisory and leadership experience
  • A passion for developing elementary school students for success in middle school and beyond
  • Articulates a clear vision and provides leadership to advance the change process
  • Prior experience in delegation and utilization of team strengths to accomplish far reaching goals
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Effectively uses listening, observation, reading, verbal, nonverbal, and writing skills
  • High ethical standards/integrity, ability to maintain confidentiality, and accepts personal responsibility for decisions/conduct
  • Ability to actively participate in all student activities at the elementary school level
  • Motivation, passion and energy for the students, staff and for the position as a whole
  • Ability to communicate successfully in a variety of mediums to students, parents and staff
  • Ability to work with all administrative team members to promote a healthy and collaborative relationships among colleagues
  • Effective community relations through appropriate interaction with students, parents, community groups and boosters
  • Verifies and correctly enters data
  • Maintains an acceptable attendance record and is punctual
  • Professional appearance and demeanor at work and all work-related functions
