This program helps students prepare to test and repair automated equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic drive systems, and programmable controllers. Graduates of the program at grade 12 can be employed as industrial plant maintenance technicians, PLC programmers, communications system technicians, and cable installers/repairers. After a post-secondary degree, graduates can be employed as maintenance shift supervisors, industrial plant maintenance managers, PLC programmers/supervisors, and communication systems maintenance supervisors.
