AUTO TECHNOLOGY:

This program develops auto technology skills in the maintenance and repair of automobiles. Emphasis will be on the diagnosis and repair of automobiles to provide learning opportunities such as engine overhaul, valve grinding, brake, steering and suspension repair and electrical system repair. All systems needed to operate an automobile will be included in the learning experiences for auto technology students. The Automotive Service Excellence credential is available in several areas. Both junior class and senior class will gain experience through computerized lab simulations.

** Students must complete 2-year course in Auto Technology, meet grade requirements (B or higher), and be accepted at Northwestern College or Universal Technical Institute within two years of graduation. Possible advance placement for up to 4 college courses from Madison’s 4 ASE certification areas

*** Credit given when enrolled at Stark State College of Technology, Automotive Engineering Technology. Student must meet grade requirements (B or higher) to be given credit. Business Math credit based on COMPASS/ACT scores.
